Disney CEO Calls for Increased Gun Control

Disney CEO Bob Iger recently attended a Sandy Hook Promise Benefit where he stated that people who occupy influential positions in society “have an extra responsibility” to promote civilian disarmament.

AWR Hawkins of Breitbart News noted that “Sandy Hook Promise is the group with whom country singer Tim McGraw donated concert proceeds for a gun control fundraiser in July 2015.”

According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, Iger, Barack Obama, and Matthew McConaughey met up in New York on December 6, 2022, where they praised Sandy Hook Promise’s work and continued to push for additional civilian disarmament schemes.

Iger stated, “As a grandfather, as a father, as CEO of The Walt Disney Company, I believe there is no greater or more important task than ensuring the safety and well-being of our children.”

He continued, “Those of us who are in positions to affect change, whether it’s by influencing laws of shaping culture or supporting organizations on the frontlines, I think we have an extra responsibility.”

Obama also offer his $.02, expressing his regret for not passing gun control during his time in office:

Perhaps the most bitter disappointment of my time in office, the closest I came to being cynical, was the utter failure of Congress to respond in the immediate aftermath of the Sandy Hook shootings. To see almost the entire GOP, but also a decent number of Democrats equivocate and hem and haw and filibuster and ultimately bend yet again to pressure from the gun lobby.

After Sandy Hook, Obama tried to pass universal gun registration legislation which was ultimately capsized by pro-gun activist pressure from groups such as the National Associationf for Gun Rights

It’s abundantly clear that corporate America is fundamentally opposed to American values. With few exceptions, these elites possess a post-national ethos that makes them incapable of standing up for the principles that made America great.

Once America First nationalists fully take control, they must make it a point to rein in corporate actors and punish those who subvert American traditions such as the Second Amendment. Being a member of the private sector does not exempt you from punishment.
