Elon Musk Claims Twitter Has Engaged in Election Interference

On November 30, 2022, Twitter owner Elon Musk declared that the Big Trch titan has “interfered in elections.”
During a discussion about a Reuters article in which the company’s former head of trust and safety declared that Twitter is ‘not safer’ under Musk’s stewardship, user @EvaFoxU made a pot: “Twitter has shown itself to be not safe for the past 10 years and has lost users’ trust. The past team of “trust and safety” is a disgrace, so it doesn’t have any right to judge what is being done now,” continuing “They had a chance, but they sold their souls to a corporation.”
Musk responded, “Exactly. The obvious reality, as long-time users know, is that Twitter has failed in trust & safety for a very long time and has interfered in elections.”
Musk later said that “Twitter 2.0 will be far more effective, transparent and even-handed.”
Musk’s comments came a few days after he reached an agreement with formerly banned news commentator Alex Lorusso that releasing Twitter’s internal discussions about censoring the Hunter Biden laptop story prior to the 2020 US election is “necessary to restore public trust.”
The irony here is that despite the censorship of the laptop story, the story’s authenticity was later confirmed by the Washington Post and the New York Times, with CBS News authenticating the story on November 28.
Back in April, Musk publicly manifested his opposition to Twitter’s decision to temporarily suspend the New York Post’s Twitter account, the same outlet that broke the Hunter Biden laptop story.
“Suspending the Twitter account of a major news organization for publishing a truthful story was obviously incredibly inappropriate,” Musk stated in April, in response to a post concerning the Hunter Biden laptop story.
In late October, Musk assumed control of Twitter. He promised to turn the platform into a certified free speech venue.
In an open letter he published after taking over Twitter, Musk said he acquired the company because “it is important to the future of civilization to have a common digital town square, where a wide range of beliefs can be debated in a healthy manner, without resorting to violence.”
“There is currently great danger that social media will splinter into far right wing and far left wing echo chambers that generate more hate and divide our society,” Musk stated.
Indeed, Twitter has functioned as an arm of the Deep State. It’s often forgotten that Twitter was used as a vehicle for the Green Revolution protests in Iran back in 2009. Now, the revolutionary spirit of these platforms has turned inward against the Historic American Nation.
Big Tech willingly carries out the agenda of the permanent bureaucracy. For now, we can breathe a sigh of relief that one of the most prominent social media platforms has an owner in Elon Musk who actually tries to maintain American principles like freedom of speech as opposed to advancing an accountable bureaucracy’s despotic agenda.
Hopefully, Musk stays true to his principles and does not fold to external and internal pressure.
