Thomas Massie Warns that Canadian-Style Gun Control Could Come to the US If Citizens Don’t Wake up

In the wake of the Uvalde, Texas massacre, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced on May 30, 2022 that there will be a national freeze on handgun sales.

“It will no longer be possible to buy, sell, transfer or import handguns anywhere in Canada,” Trudeau declared during a press conference. “In other words, we’re capping the market for handguns.”

The Liberal government also wants to take away firearms licenses from individuals who commit acts of domestic violence or criminal harassment. In addition, Trudeau announced that he wants to implement a national “red flag” gun confiscation order that would grant judges the power to confiscate the firearms of gun owners who are “considered a danger to themselves or others.”

“We need only look south of the border to know that if we do not take action, firmly and rapidly, it gets worse and worse and more difficult to counter,” Trudeau declared.

Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie instantly chimed in on this news. He tweeted, “The dystopian future Trudeau is manifesting in Canada is coming to America if US citizens don’t get involved.”

While the US is “exceptional” when it comes to its defense of gun rights compared to other countries. However, that might be changing due to the country’s changing demographics and the consolidation of Gun Control Inc. in institutions ranging from academic venues to major corporations.

Our liberties won’t defend themselves. It takes people making major sacrifices and constantly engaging in acts of legislative vigilance to ensure that our rights stay intact. If we get caught slipping, our enemies will pounce and eviscerate our rights.

The enemies of freedom never sleep, which is why they must be met with a superior show of political force to guarantee the preservation of our freedoms.
