New Jersey Individual in Chuck E. Cheese Mouse Costume is Accused of Racism

According to a New Jersey mother, a local Chuck E. Cheese mouse character allegedly discriminated against her black two-year-old son.

On July 31, 2022, the mother posted a video of this alleged incident involving discrimination. 

In the video footage, a young black girl is seen dancing close to a Chuck E. Cheese character. The individual in the Chuck E. Cheese costume appeared to give high-fives to while children, and ignored the dancing black child close by.

“On July 30 at Chuck E Cheese in Wayne, NJ, my [two-year-old] was racially discriminated against. As you can see, he gives all of the [white] kids [high-fives and] PURPOSELY ignored my black baby,” the mother tweeted. “When confronted, he ignored me as well.”

In the tweet, the distraught mother claimed the Chuck E. Cheese manager “made excuses” for the individual in the mouse costume. Management asserted that the costumed individual did not even see the black child.

“Saying she’s ‘sorry I feel that way’ but he didn’t see her, even after showing her the PROOF in the video,” the mother sounded off in the tweet storm.

In another post, the mother published a photo of her daughter with the individual in the Chuck E. Cheese costume, where the character is giving a thumbs-up sign. The mother claimed that management “insisted” the child and the character take a photo together.

“I wasn’t for it but Safa was still innocently following him around — of course, unaware of what just happened,” the post stated. “Just for her to take a picture like this. Great job, Safa.” 

When the Daily Caller reached out Chuck E. Cheese, the family entertainment center, said that they were “saddened” that the family had an unpleasant experience. 

“Chuck E. Cheese is saddened when any family or child has a less than perfect experience. We want to thank the family who brought this to our attention at our Wayne, NJ location and for giving the onsite manager an opportunity to apologize and address their concerns in person,” the chain expressed in a statement. “As home to millions of families and kids every year that celebrate the big and small milestones, including fun, our goal is to create an inclusive experience for children and parents of all ages, races, ethnicities, religious backgrounds, and learning differences. Our mission is to provide a fun and a safe place Where A Kid Can Be A Kid, and all cast members are trained to ensure that we live up to this promise.”

This case is much ado about nothing in the grand scheme of things. However, we live in a racially polarized environment — the long-term result of the Civil Rights Revolution — where non-whites are constantly looking for alleged incidents of racism in order to shake individuals or organizations down. 

Having a massive bureaucratic apparatus dedicated towards smoking out alleged incidents of “discrimination” and an army of ambulance-chasing lawyers creates incentives for people to cry racism or discrimination in private incidents for an easy check or other forms of restitution. 

This race-hustling insanity will tear this country apart. It’s best that we restore the freedom of association and get rid of the entire anti-discrimination bureacruacy as a way of reaching social harmony in a time when racial tensions are escalating.
