Anthony Sabatini Calls for All Red States to Pass E-Verify

Due to how gridlocked politics is in Washington DC, many wedge issues such as immigration restriction can’t be voted on so easily, let alone be implemented via legislative action. As a result, states have largely been compelled to take matters into their own hands.

States like Texas have already seen their governments carry out programs such as Operation Lone Star and featured high profile gubernatorial candidates that campaigned on strong immigration restriction measures.

Now it’s time for other states to follow suit and start changing immigration policy.

Florida State Representative Anthony Sabatini has specifically called on all red states to pass E-Verify. In a tweet he posted on May 22, 2022, Sabatini stated, “Every red state must pass E-Verify

The elected state level “Republicans” who are silent on this issue are no different than open-borders Democrats.”

E-Verify is an internet-based system that the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) operates in tandem with the Social Security Administration (SSA). As immigration restriction group noted, E-Verify “provides an automated link to existing federal databases to help employers determine the employment eligibility of new hires and the validity of their Social Security numbers.”

Several states have passed E-Verify legislation where certain businesses are mandated to use this system.

It’s unlikely that the federal government will pass E-Verify anytime soon.

In the meantime, red states should follow Anthony Sabatini’s advice and start passing their own E-Verify laws. With so much pent-up political frustration, liberty conservatives would be best served by channeling grassroots anger into state-by-state legislative projects such as passing E-Verify.

This is one of the best ways to pick up political wins and gradually create a grassroots rebellion against the aloof DC class.
