Brazilians Who Protested Election Results Have Their Bank Accounts Frozen

According to a report by Dan Frieth of Reclaim the Net, several Brazilians who protested the controversial nature of President Jair Bolsonaro’s defeat have had their bank accounts frozen.

These incidents came a few days after the electoral court issued an order to block prominent social media accounts who disputed the election results.

On October 2, 2022, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva defeated Bolsonaro by a narrow 50.9% to 49.1% margin.

After Bolsonaro’s defeat, thousands of truck drivers paralyzed highways nationwide by parking their trucks on the highways, taking a page from the Canadian truckers’ playbook when they protested Wuhan virus measures. The protesters believe the 2022 Brazilian presidential election was stolen.

“It is necessary, appropriate and urgent to block the bank accounts of those investigated, given the possibility of using resources to finance illicit and undemocratic acts, in order to stop the injury or threat to law,” declared Supreme Court Justice Alexandre De Moraes. The Supreme Court justice claimed that there has been “repeated abuse of the right to assemble.”

De Moraes added the “several antidemocratic acts” kicked off after protesting truck drivers “began to block traffic on several highways of the country.”

“Those who by criminal means have been taking part in anti-democratic acts will be treated like criminals,” he proclaimed after issuing suspensions to several prominent Bolsonaro supporters on social media.

Per various reports from local news outlets, Moraes has frozen the bank accounts of over 40 people and companies that are allegedly connected to the “anti-democratic” protests.

In New York last week, Moraes declared that “democracy in Brazil was attacked, but it survived.” He believes that the trend of questioning election results kicked off in the US thanks to the Right and subsequently “spread to Eastern Europe and then to Brazil.”

Moraes’s actions are akin to the measures Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau used against Freedom Convoy protesters. Frieth noted that Trudeau is still being investigated for such actions.

There’s a clear global trend of governments cracking down on people who question the results of controversial elections. We’re now at a point in history where elections in the West can no longer be trusted thanks to Deep State machinations that turn these events into rigged affairs.

The Right must make election integrity a major political priority. If we can’t secure our elections, globalist hegemony will soon follow.
