Russian Foreign Minister Claims the United States and NATO are Trying to Defeat Russia On the Battlefield

In an interview with Russian state media outlet TASS, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov proclaimed that the United States and its NATO allies are aiming to achieve victory over Russia on the battlefield in Ukraine. Since Russia launched its special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, the Collective West has flooded Ukraine with copious amounts of economic and military aid.

The latter aid is designed to turn Ukraine into a Western proxy against Russia in hopes of creating a prolonged conflict that would degrade Russia’s military capacity. Some elements of the national security state want to create an Afghanistan 2.0 scenario in Ukraine so as to bleed Russia dry.

“The actions by the collective West and their puppet [Ukrainian President Vladimir] Zelensky confirm the global nature of the Ukrainian crisis. It is no secret that the strategic goal of the US and its NATO allies is to win a victory over Russia on the battlefield as a mechanism of weakening or even destroying our country,” Lavrov highlighted. “Our opponents will just do about anything to achieve this goal,” he added.

Lavrov believes that the US stands to benefit most from a “hot conflict” in Ukraine, in which it can extract large economic and strategic benefits.

“Washington has also been solving a key geopolitical goal of breaking the traditional bonds between Russia and Europe and making their European satellites even more dependent on them,” Lavrov stressed.

From a big picture perspective, the Russian foreign minister may be on the mark here. Historically, Anglo-American geopolitics is centered on the principles of divide and rule. Namely, preventing a unified Europe, especially a Europe that’s integrated with Russia. The Russo-Ukrainian war, especially the West’s involvement in the conflict, has facilitated this wedge between Russia and Europe. Europe is not only disconnected from Russian oil and gas, but it’s also now more dependent on the US for security affairs. Due to the large amounts of military aid European countries have sent to Ukraine, these countries will have to increasingly turn to the US for weaponry due to their depleted munitions stocks.

The US national security state is a clear winner in this conflict, while the Middle Americans and most of continental Europe comes out on the losing end. As is life in the Globalist American Empire.
