Canadian Authorities Call On World Leaders to Crack Down on Online “Misinformation”

At the recent G20 Summit in Bali, Indonesia, Justin Trudeau announced that the Canadian government desires regulating online “harassment and violence.” In addition, Trudeau said that Canada’s social media platforms are obligated to“address online harassment and violence to ensure trust in technology.”
“While always ensuring and defending free speech, we must make it clear that it cannot be OK to bully and attack people online,” Trudeau added.
Per a report by Christina Maas of Reclaim the Net, the G7 summit in Germany, Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino said to his fellow interior and security ministers that addressing disinformation is of the utmost importance. On November 17, 2022, Mendicino tweeted that “the G7 stands united” on the issue of “addressing the rise of mis and disinformation online.”
Subsequently, on November 19, Mendicino tweeted that Canada will host a G7 summit in 2023 to combat “disinformation.”
“Taking a leading role at the G7, Canada has invited counterpart interior and public safety ministers here for a summit to tackle disinformation, which is one of the most pervasive threats to all our democracies right now,” Mendocino tweeted.
He continued by noting that a summit in Canada would help “flip the script, and to get ahead of the curve of disinformation.”
“This is where we think that Canada and the G7 can show leadership,” he continued.
In Mendicino’s view, the “marketplace for disinformation” is bigger than the “marketplace for reliable information,” and the state must help Canadians be able to distinguish between the two.
In order to fight disinformation, social platforms must strive to make sure that their users are “adhering to the terms and conditions of their own user agreements.”
At the summit, Mendocino suggested that high school students be educated on how to identify disinformation, in addition to online scams and fraudulent emails and texts.
Since the Trudeau regime started freezing the accounts of people who supported the Freedom Convoy, Canada has cemented its status as a multicultural dystopia.
Whatever tyrannical schemes Canada pushes at home, will likely be pushed abroad. The leaders of countries in the Collective West generally mingle with one another and exchange wacky ideas with the aim of replicating them as far as possible.
It would behoove America First nationalists to watch what’s taking place in Canada. It’s usually a sign of the despotism that is to come stateside.
